Architectural Salvage - Roses Painting on McKee door panel
More of that yummy door from the McKee mansion that once stood in Broken Rocks, Port Austin, Michigan! It's so solid that when Helen and Angie found it for their shop (The Haven in Port Austin MI), they thought that if they left it outside over the winter, it would come apart more easily. HA! It did not. When it came time for me to take it home, Helen's husband had to get out the saw and encourage it to come apart. At which point it came apart beautifully!

Bug bites and thorns and dewdrops add to this beauty's fresh cottage charm.

Pieces like this, clad in their original chippy paint, evoke such a wonderful sense of warmth and nostalgia.  They are truly a pleasure to have in your collection.

Thick and substantial, executed in in oil and acrylic, varnished for luminous depth and lasting durability. She is signed and will arrive ready to hang.
